Presenting…You, Speaking with Confidence!

Welcome to the New Suneva Webcasting Blog

We love working with people who want to create influential communications in all its forms; verbal, written and visual.  That is the focus of this blog-how to make storytelling exciting and memorable.

Recently a friend of mine shook his head sadly as he described how his co-worker had responded to the task of explaining his report to the department staff.

“Todd’s hands were sweating and he felt like he was going to faint. He had no idea why his manager wanted him to do this week’s sales presentation. “

Does this sound familiar? Almost everyone can relate to Todd, it underscores the number one fear that most business people share:

Public speaking.

Why is that? The reasons range from simply not wanting to stand in front of a group to being afraid of what people will say about them.  Let’s face it, no one likes being rejected.

All of the reasons are valid and these would be okay if we did away with presentations altogether. Since this is not likely to happen, the next best thing is to make it as enjoyable an experience as possible.

Have you noticed how the best public speakers wow their audiences by making it easy to identify with them? Don’t kid yourself; these speakers have experienced the same feelings at one time.  But they have learned how to turn their anxiety into an asset that puts power in their story. And it is their story that is the center of attention.

Your life experience makes your story unique. In our custom-built one-on-one training, your personality decides your presentation style. When you’re comfortable, it’s easier to communicate.

Getting comfortable in your own skin is just one of the communication skills you’ll take away from your six-weeks of personal training. Your story will be crafted with the visuals that highlight the most important part of your story. And you will know the right words to create the imagery that will make your audience remember it.

Some people say that the first step is the hardest. But I disagree:  I believe that the first step is the most exciting!  Almost everyone has secretly dreamed of being a star… and with the right tips, most people are surprised at how easy it is to have a good time on stage. That’s the whole idea, focus on what you have to say about your experience. It’s the message you want to leave with those who are listening to you that matters and that what we help you deliver with style.

That’s what I will be sharing with you in this blog. If you have a topic you want covered, let me know.

Would you like to be confident that people are listening to what you have to say, handle your next presentation with ease and receive a positive response when you speak? Give us a call at 504-299-3431 for your free 30 minute consultation.
